JAMES AVERY HUGE VINTAGE STERLING AMETHYST CROSS NECKLACE Very rare vintage huge heavy sterling and large cabochons of amethyst cross is hallmarked with the JAMES AVERY hallmark of a candelabra with the intials JA and marked STER. The substantial book chain does not have a clasp and while not as dark as the front of the cross it has the same coloring as the back part of the piece and appears to be all original. It is unmarked so I can't say for certainty if the chain is also sterling silver. The ornate cross pendant measures approximately 5-7/8" by 4-1/8". The chain is about 36-1/2" in length. I have left it to the buyers discretion whether to polish the cross or not. Has a gorgeous historic look to it. This is an amazing piece and only gets better in person. Great condition.
